Hang in There, Julian Assange. Strive for the Truths to Come Out

Julian Assange granted bail over sex crime allegations in Sweden

Founder of WikiLeaks granted £240,000 bail at Westminster magistrates court after celebrities stand sureties

By Mark Tran

December 14, 2010 "The Guardian" - --A British court today granted bail with strict conditions to Julian Assange, the founder of the WikiLeaks website, who faces allegations of rape in Sweden.

Assange's lawyer, Geoffrey Robertson, asked the City of Westminster magistrates court in London for bail on five conditions: £200,000 in security, surety of £40,000 from two people, a curfew, daily reporting to police, and surrender of his passport.

The judge granted the conditions and gave lawyers representing Sweden two hours to lodge an appeal.

A full extradition hearing is scheduled for 11 January.

John Pilger and Peter Tatchell explain why they've pledged money in surety for the WikiLeaks founder's bail outside the appeal hearing at Wesminster magistrates court in central London. Link to this video

"We doubt whether this actual category of rape would be rape under English law," said Robertson, a former appeals judge at the UN special court for Sierra Leone whose former clients include the author Salman Rushdie.

Appearing for the Swedish authorities, Gemma Lindfield argued that Assange should be declined bail as the charges were serious and there was a real possibility of his taking flight.

"This is not a case about WikiLeaks, rather a case about alleged serious offenses against two women," she said. Unlike Robertson, she said the allegations were serious and Assange had only weak ties to Britain and "the means and ability to abscond".

The news was greeted by cheers outside the courtroom, and Assange's supporters welcomed the move.

"I'm very pleased that he is out," said the writer and political activist Tariq Ali. "I think the extradition charges should now be dealt with in the same way. His barrister made the same point, that this is not rape under English law and there is absolutely no reason for extradition. We are delighted he is out and he should never have been locked up in the first place."

Assange entered court one at 2.12pm looking paler than he did last week, wearing a dark jacket and open-necked white shirt. With so much press interest, people were given permission to stand; in a break with tradition, journalists were allowed to tweet the proceedings.

Amid chaotic scenes, Robertson, who cut short a holiday in Australia to be in court, had to bang on the door to get in.

A minor scuffle broke out as a man wearing a hat in Swedish national colours was pushed from the road by police. Dozens of police officers corralled a vocal and diverse protest behind metal fencing on the other side of the road.

Some of Assange's celebrity supporters attended the hearing, including socialite Jemima Khan, Bianca Jagger and Fatima Bhutto, niece of the assassinated Benazir Bhutto. Outside, one protester held up a placard that read "Sex crimes, my arse!" But media outnumbered the protesters – who were about 30 strong.

Before the hearing, Assange remained defiant, telling his mother, Christine, from his cell he was committed to publishing more secret US cables. "My convictions are unfaltering. I remain true to the ideals I have expressed. This circumstance shall not shake them," Assange said, according to a written statement of his comments supplied to Australia's Network Seven by his mother.

"We now know that Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and others are instruments of US foreign policy. I am calling for the world to protect my work and my people from these illegal and immoral attacks," he said in the statement. The 39-year-old Australian turned himself in to Scotland Yard detectives last week after being accused of sexually assaulting two women in Sweden. He has vowed to fight attempts to extradite him.

He was denied bail by district judge Howard Riddle at City of Westminster magistrates court last Tuesday, on the grounds that there was a risk he would fail to surrender. The decision to remand him in custody came despite despite the film director Ken Loach, the journalist John Pilger, Khan and other suporters offering sureties for him totalling £180,000.

His legal team has claimed Swedish prosecutors were put under political pressure to restart their inquiry to help silence and discredit Assange, whose website has provoked US anger by publishing some of a cache of 250,000 classified US diplomatic papers.

Stephens, visited him in Wandsworth prison yesterday afternoon, and said his client was being held under harsher conditions than last week. He claimed Assange was being confined to his cell for all but half an hour a day, and denied association with others prisoners, access to the library or TV.

Stephens also claimed a number of letters to Assange from media organisations had not reached the WikiLeaks founder. He said Assange was under 24-hour video surveillance and had complained that a tooth that broke off while he was eating had later been stolen from his cell.

Terror Strike Closes America’s Most Important Petrol Port

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

Russian foreign military intelligence (GRU) reports are stating today that the United States has suffered a “major blow” after a terrorist attack closed one of its most vital ports called the “lynchpin” of America’s petrochemical industry and located in the State of Texas.

According to these reports, early yesterday morning, at approximately 5 AM Central Daylight Time (US), a “small cell” of al Qaeda linked terrorists seized a towing vessel named Safety Quest in the Houston Ship Channel that was pushing 3 barges of scrap metal. After killing an estimated 6 crew members, these reports say, the al Qaeda terrorists then “targeted” a high-voltage electric transmission line tower [photo 3rd left] spanning this waterway causing a catastrophic structural failure thus closing this important waterway.

A news report by local Houston television station KVUE further details the horrendous economic damage to the United States because of this attack, and as we can read:

“The 25-mile waterway is lined by the nation’s biggest complex of petrochemical plants. The Port of Houston ranks first in the nation in foreign waterborne tonnage and imports and second in U.S. export tonnage and total tonnage. Coast Guard officials said the ship channel handles more than $320 million in cargo and crude daily, meaning the Port of Houston could lose nearly $1 billion if the waterway is closed for three days.”

These GRU reports go on to state that “nearly simultaneously” with this al Qaeda attack upon The Port of Houston the seized vessel Safety Quest was attacked by US Coast Guard and American Marine forces killing all of the terrorist involved, leaving Russian intelligence experts to question why, since the forces were there to stop this attack, they didn’t.

Within hours of this attack the United States issued a rare “terror warning” stating that al Qaeda terror cells linked to Osama bin Laden were planning more attacks. Curiously though, and as we had detailed in yesterday’s report, the US warning was not for its own country, but for Europe.

Even more curious about this terror attack is Houston television news channel KRIV reporter Kristine Galvan reporting that the power lines spanning the Houston Ship Channel had “recently been deactivated for maintenance”, a convenient circumstance that averted a much larger catastrophe.

Going from the mere curious about this event to the sinister, however, is the news that an American petrochemical giant named Oneok Partners LP, just days before this attack (October 1st) placed a “high volume” of put-options on their own stock betting that its price would go down within 30-days, and which it now most assuredly will do with the closure of the Houston Ship Channel generating for them tens-of-millions in profit due to this disaster.

It must be noted that the use of put-options against American corporations, as they relate to terrorist events, is a long-standing curiosity yet to be explained by anyone in authority, the most notable being the attacks of 9/11 where these financial devices were generated against United and American Airlines, the planes used on 9/11, making for their as yet unnamed benefactors untold wealth after this most tragic of event.

Important to note too is Europe’s reaction to the US terror warning they issued yesterday that can best be summed up as reported by Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald News Service who reports Germany’s official government statement about it:

“There is no reason to change Germany's security threat level in response to a US travel alert warning of potential terrorist attacks in Europe, the interior ministry says. Germany has “still no concrete indications of imminent attacks” and authorities “are constantly reviewing the need to update security measures”, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday. “The government does not currently see any reason to modify its evaluation of concrete risks,” added the text.”

To the American peoples being allowed to know the truth of these events, or the more horrible ones to come, it doesn’t it appear likely as new reports coming from that country now chilling state that the US Army's 4th Psychological Operations group, as part of their Training With Industry program, has begun placing PSYOP troops at many of their local television news stations, and who’s motto is “Persuade-Change-Influence”.

To what exactly the US government is preparing to “persuade”, “change” and “influence” their citizens about it is not in our knowing, other than, of course, to state the obvious; that when any military, of any country, begins to pervade into the lives of its citizens, the outcome can only be tragic.

A Deadly Bubble?

Here are two recordings of an interview, with the speaker talking about a situation that is unknown by the public.
He speaks of a giant bubble resting below the well in the Gulf - a giant bubble maybe 20 miles wide, a bubble of gas.
The speaker is urging that the "mud log data" , which is a record of what the drill is going through as it goes deeper, be examined.  It appears this data is unknown by anyone but BP.  This is revealing information .
Listen and judge for yourself.  The recordings are about 18 minutes total.
http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/872.html

Richard Hoagland is a scientist who has been a long term critic of secrecy and fraud at NASA.
In this interview, Hoagland talks about the discovery of a massive gas bubble associated with the BP well in the Gulf.

Have I verified this information? No.
What I do know is this:
1. The mainstream new media is focusing on the leak at the drill site and ignoring the oil-leaking fissures surrounding the drill site.

2. They're also ignoring the presence of vast quantities of toxic gas that are being released along with the crude oil.

Toxic Oil Spill Rains Warned Could Destroy North America

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

A dire report prepared for President Medvedev by Russia’s Ministry of Natural Resources is warning today that the British Petroleum (BP) oil and gas leak in the Gulf of Mexico is about to become the worst environmental catastrophe in all of human history threatening the entire eastern half of the North American continent with “total destruction”.

Russian scientists are basing their apocalyptic destruction assessment due to BP’s use of millions of gallons of the chemical dispersal agent known as Corexit 9500 which is being pumped directly into the leak of this wellhead over a mile under the Gulf of Mexico waters and designed, this report says, to keep hidden from the American public the full, and tragic, extent of this leak that is now estimated to be over 2.9 million gallons a day.

The dispersal agent Corexit 9500 is a solvent originally developed by Exxon and now manufactured by the Nalco Holding Company of Naperville, Illinois that is four times more toxic than oil (oil is toxic at 11 ppm (parts per million), Corexit 9500 at only 2.61ppm). In a report written by Anita George-Ares and James R. Clark for Exxon Biomedical Sciences, Inc. titled “Acute Aquatic Toxicity of Three Corexit Products: An Overview” Corexit 9500 was found to be one of the most toxic dispersal agents ever developed. Even worse, according to this report, with higher water temperatures, like those now occurring in the Gulf of Mexico, its toxicity grows.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in discovering BP’s use of this dangerous dispersal agent ordered BP to stop using it, but BP refused stating that their only alternative to Corexit 9500 was an even more dangerous dispersal agent known as Sea Brat 4.

The main differences between Corexit 9500 and Sea Brat 4 lie in how long these dangerous chemicals take to degrade into their constituent organic compounds, which for Corexit 9500 is 28 days. Sea Brat 4, on the other hand, degrades into an organic chemical called Nonylphenol that is toxic to aquatic life and can persist in the environment for years.

A greater danger involving Corexit 9500, and as outlined by Russian scientists in this report, is that with its 2.61ppm toxicity level, and when combined with the heating Gulf of Mexico waters, its molecules will be able to “phase transition” from their present liquid to a gaseous state allowing them to be absorbed into clouds and allowing their release as “toxic rain” upon all of Eastern North America.

Even worse, should a Katrina like tropical hurricane form in the Gulf of Mexico while tens of millions of gallons of Corexit 9500 are sitting on, or near, its surface the resulting “toxic rain” falling upon the North American continent could “theoretically” destroy all microbial life to any depth it reaches resulting in an “unimaginable environmental catastrophe” destroying all life forms from the “bottom of the evolutionary chart to the top”.

Note: For molecules of a liquid to evaporate, they must be located near the surface, be moving in the proper direction, and have sufficient kinetic energy to overcome liquid-phase intermolecular forces. Only a small proportion of the molecules meet these criteria, so the rate of evaporation is limited. Since the kinetic energy of a molecule is proportional to its temperature, evaporation proceeds more quickly at higher temperatures.

As over 50 miles of the US State of Louisiana’s coastline has already been destroyed by this spill, American scientists are warning that the damage may be impossible to repair, and as we can read as reported by the Associated Press News Service:

“The gooey oil washing into the maze of marshes along the Gulf Coast could prove impossible to remove, leaving a toxic stew lethal to fish and wildlife, government officials and independent scientists said. Officials are considering some drastic and risky solutions: They could set the wetlands on fire or flood areas in hopes of floating out the oil. They warn an aggressive cleanup could ruin the marshes and do more harm than good.”

And to understand the full import of this catastrophe it must be remembered that this disaster is occurring in what is described as the “biologically richest waters in America” with the greatest amount of oil and toxic Corexit 9500 set to come ashore in the coming days and weeks to destroy it completely for decades to come.

Reports are also coming from the United States that their government is secretly preparing to evacuate tens-of-millions of their citizens from their Gulf of Mexico States should the most dire of these scientific warnings start to come true.

To the greatest lesson to be learned by these Americans is that their government-oil industry cabal has been just as destructive to them as their government-banking one, both of which have done more to destroy the United States these past couple of years than any foreign enemy could dare dream was possible.

But to their greatest enemy the Americans need look no further than their nearest mirror as they are the ones who allowed these monsters to rule over them in the first place.

Obama Orders ‘Immediate Stand-down’ After Deadly North Korean Attack

Obama Orders ‘Immediate Stand-down’ After Deadly North Korean Attack

March 28, 2010
by Sorcha Faal

Russian foreign military intelligence directorate (GRU) reports circulating in the Kremlin today are stating that President Obama has ordered all United Nations Forces on the Korean Peninsula into “immediate stand-down” over fears South Korea will retaliate against the North for the deadly missile attack on one of its ships that has left an estimated 46 of its Naval Forces dead and warned liable to start a nuclear weapons exchange should tensions escalate further.

Sparking this latest conflict was an “unprovoked” attack on South Korea’s Cheonan warship [photo 2nd left], a Pohang-class corvette (PCC-772), patrolling in neutral waters of the Yellow Sea when it was struck by a Chinese made Silkworm missile fired from a North Korean shore battery. So powerful was the resulting explosion the Cheonan was torn in half and 46 of its 104 member crew were annihilated.

[Note: Western reports show that North Korea has been preparing for this attack since last summer when it began training its Silkworm missile crews for a naval engagement along the Northern Limit Line with the South Korean Navy]

Upon the Cheonan’s sinking, its sister warship Daecheon (PCC-777) also patrolling these waters obliterated the North Korean shore battery that had fired the Silkworm missile with sustained artillery fire, after which no further hostilities were reported.

South Korea in following Obama’s orders not to escalate tensions in this already volatile region is reporting to its people that the Cheonan’s sinking remains ‘mysterious’ and that the artillery fired by the Daecheon was not directed at North Korea, but was ‘mistakenly’ directed at a flock of birds.

Important to note about this conflict are its origins from the aftermath of World War II when upon the Empire of Japan’s surrender (who ruled over the Korean peoples since 1910) the Korean Peninsula was torn in two between its southern half backed by the West and its northern part by Communist Chinese and Russian forces.

Open conflict between the West and East on the Korean Peninsula began on June 25, 1950 when communist backed northern forces invaded the south and nearly succeeded in capturing the entire country. The North’s plan, however, was thwarted when United Nations forces (mostly Americans) led by US General Douglas MacArthur carried out a successful sea invasion of South Korea’s third largest city Incheon on September 15, 1950.

So successful was General MacArthur’s war strategy that by late October, 1950, his forces had nearly totally annihilated the North Korean troops opposing him and were nearing the Korean Peninsula’s border with Communist China. Unbeknownst to MacArthur, however, was that Communist China and Soviet Russia were not going to allow the Americans to succeed in crushing the North Koreans, and as we can read from the original communications exchanged between Chinese leader Mao Zedong and Soviet leader Joseph Stalin:

1 October 1950, Kim Il-sung sent a telegram to China asking for military intervention. On the same day, Mao Zedong received Stalin's telegram, suggesting China send troops into Korea.

5 October, under pressure from Mao Zedong and Peng Dehuai, the Chinese Communist Central Committee finalized the decision of military intervention in Korea.

11 October, Stalin and Zhou Enlai sent a joint signed telegram to Mao, stating:

11 October, Stalin and Zhou Enlai sent a joint signed telegram to Mao, stating:

1.Chinese troops are ill prepared and without tanks and artillery; requested air cover would take two months to arrive.

2.Within one month, fully equipped troops need to be in position; otherwise, US troops would step over the 38 parallel line and take over North Korea.

3.Fully equipped troops could only be sent into Korea in six months time; by then, North Korea would be occupied by the Americans, and any troops would be meaningless

12 October, 15:30 Beijing time, Mao sent a telegram to Stalin through the Russian ambassador: "I agree with your (Stalin and Zhou) decision."

12 October, 22:12 Beijing time, Mao sent another telegram: "I agree with 10 October telegram; my troops stay put; I have issued order to cease the advance into Korea plan."

12 October, Stalin sent a telegram to Kim Il-sung, telling him: "Russian and Chinese troops are not coming."

13 October, the Soviet ambassador in Beijing sent a telegram to Stalin, saying Mao Zedong had informed him that the Chinese Communist Central Committee had approved the decision of sending troops to Korea.

So as the Americans were preparing to celebrate their victory over North Korea the Chinese were preparing to unleash nearly 500,000 of their troops into this conflict, and which on November 1, 1950 they in fact did leading to a crushing defeat of UN Forces and causing the West’s retreat to the 38th Parallel of the Peninsula where the war then broke down into a virtual stalemate after America’s President, Harry Truman, refused MacArthur’s pleas to use nuclear weapons.

[Note: So enraged was MacArthur against President Truman that rumors swirled that the World War II hero general was going to disobey his President’s orders and nuke Chinese forces anyway, and which when heard by Truman caused him to fire one of the arguably most famous generals in the history of the United States.]

By the summer of 1953 both the West and East knew that without the use of nuclear weapons the war could not be won by either side so on July 27th an Armistice Agreement between the Commander-in-Chief, United Nations Command, the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army and the Commander of the Chinese People's volunteers was signed ceasing open hostilities, but not ending the war which continues to this very day.

Important to note is that then South Korean President Syngman Rhee refused to sign the Armistice Agreement brokered between the West and East and, also, to this very day South Korea remains at war with its Communist Northern neighbor.

North Korea’s reason for launching this latest attack upon the South, these reports continue, was its growing anger over reports that the United States and South Korea were preparing to destabilize and then bring down their communist regime, and which this past week US Forces Korea Commander Gen. Walter Sharp in testifying before the American Congress warned of the need for “urgent preparation” for the sudden regime collapse of North Korea’s government and military structure.

North Korea, predictably, did not take kindly to General Sharp’s testimony and through its official Korean Central News Agency warned that “those who seek to bring down the system in the (North), whether they play a main role or a passive role, will fall victim to the unprecedented nuclear strikes of the invincible army”.

Interestingly about Obama in his administrations dealings with North Korea was his decision last month to leave them off of Americas list of countries supporting terror by his stating they “do not meet the statutory criteria” for inclusion that automatically imposes sanctions. Leading one to wonder if the World’s most rogue regime who for decades has supplied nuclear weapon and missile technology to some of the most dangerous Nations on Earth can’t be called a terrorist state then who can?

Former President Bush, on the other hand, had no qualms about calling North Korea what it in fact is, a terror state, when on January 29, 2002 in what is now called his “Axis of Evil” speech before the US Congress he named them along with Iraq and Iran as the three most dangerous Nations on Earth.

Since Obama’s taking office though, what was to Bush the “Axis of Evil” appears to be the new American Presidents “Trio of Buddies” as he continues to protect the Iranians while they construct an atomic bomb, Iraq has essentially become a protectorate of the Iranians, and now North Korea is allowed to attack US allies at will with no fear of retaliation…all occurring at the same time that he has turned his back on one of the United States most stalwart allies, Israel.

To what America has become there can no longer be any doubt, as aside from Obama’s refusing to listen to his own people suffering under the cruel communist regime being erected all around them, Americas once stalwart allies are now being cast aside too.

And to those Americans not believing what is happening to them under their “change” President they should pay closer attention; such as when this past week Cuba’s Communist leader Fidel Castro declared that the passage of Obama’s health care reform was “a miracle” and a major victory for Obama's presidency.

At least Fidel knows a fellow communist dictator when he sees one, too bad the American people can’t see it too.

Mystery of the Nomoli

The mystery of the Nomoli
When searching for diamonds in West African Sierra Leone, local people made unexpected finds: They repeatedly came across 40 to 70 cm tall stone sculptures. The origin of these so-called Nomoli is uncertain. Some were discovered at depths of 50 metres. This means that they must be about 17,000 years old. A date which does not conform to today’s archaeological knowledge. Where did the Nomoli come from? Were they left by an alien culture which disappeared long ago?

Rarely do I study archaeology but when I accidentally do, I find a deep yearning that I had pursued the subject and entered the field. I have a few "finds" of my own from the past. I enjoy the written articles in the National Geographic magazine. My understanding is that so many new discoveries are showing us that the past isn't quite what we have been taught to believe about it. This is proving to be the case in many branches of science; possibly in all of them.

Here is more about the Nomoli.

Nomoli figure with metal ball and “Skystones
At 17000 years, this unusual Nomoli figure is also the oldest. A small metal ball was hidden in a hollow space inside it. An analysis showed that it is made from chrome and steel. However, the metal ball was already in the figure when it was found. How did it get there? And much more important - where did the metal come from? - The blue “Skystones” are another mystery. A legend says: The part of the sky in which the Nomoli lived turned to stone. It splintered and fell to Earth as pieces of rock. Scientists found traces of iridium in the “Skystones”. However, there is no iridium on Earth, unless it was brought in from space by a meteorite.

So Many Resignations - What's It All About?

This I read today and it makes me question, question, question. But what are the answers? What is going on? Report begins:

Does anyone find this weird? This report was dated on Feb.7th, 2010. What are your thoughts about this?

1. Gaithersburg, MD Gaithersburg Police Chief John King resigned with little explanation last week, leaving his colleagues and community members wondering what happened.

2. Guttenberg, IA Police Chief Resigns After Seven Months on the Job, no reason

3. Harrisburg, PA - Richard Pickles retires after serving a month as Harrisburg police chief

4. Culpeper, VA When Scott Barlow announced two weeks ago he would step down from his job as chief of police with the town of Culpeper, it caught a lot of people off guard, including us.

5. Carbondale, IL - Police Chief Resigns, no reason given

6. Austin, MN - Several Austin City Council members said they were "shocked" by Austin Police Chief Paul Philipp's resignation Tuesday morning.

7. Jonesboro, GA - The City of Jonesboro’s new police chief has resigned, five weeks after being named to the top job.

8. Manassas, VA - found this quote: "I hope the Chief enjoys his retirement. Between his service in the Secret Service, Fairfax and Manassas, he’s earned it."

9. West Covina, CA - Tolich, a 21-year veteran of the force, retired nine years before he was eligible for full retirement benefits, Finance Director Thomas Bachman said.

In an email Tolich sent to members of the department, he tells fellow officers that a personal matter involving him and his family led to the sudden departure.

These were either benign stories or little info given. (Bearing in mind that a seasoned cop could probably make a pretty believable alibi for leaving.)

Moral Legitimacy/Violence -

There have been periods of history in which episodes of terrible violence occurred but for which the word violence was never used.... Violence is shrouded in justifying myths that lend it moral legitimacy, and these myths for the most part kept people from recognizing the violence for what it was. The people who burned witches at the stake never for one moment thought of their act as violence; rather they thought of it as an act of divinely mandated righteousness. The same can be said of most of the violence we humans have ever committed: ~Gil Bailie
